Cornelia K. Smith

Cornelia K. Smith, 93 went home to be with her heavenly Father on March 13, 2023.

Cornelia was born on December 8, 1929 in Austin, TX near the State of Texas Capital. She attended Austin High School. Most of her life was spent in Austin, TX but in later years she enjoyed her home in Fredericksburg, TX too.

Her strong faith and trust in God sustained her through the challenges and rewarding times in life. Volunteer activities as the President of the Seton Hospital Auxiliary was especially memorable, as funds were raised to help build the new Seton Hospital on 38th street.

As a member of the Violet Crown Garden Club, she participated in many flower arrangement competitions and helped with the Zilker Garden Center.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon L. Smith, her brother and sister-in-law Norman and Jeanne Kittredge, cousins Robert and Cherrye McCullough and their son Robby and Frances Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Cornelia will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, TX 78731. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic Church, 4311 Small Dr, Austin, TX 78731. A committal service will occur Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Dr., Austin, Texas 78731.
