My family as I was growing up in Texas was close to Uncle Cuong and his family.  It wasn’t until I grew up, got married, moved away, and had kids of my own that I lost touch with Uncle Cuong.  I always remembered him as a very kind, gentle, helpful, funny, and loving man.  I don’t think I ever seen him mad, upset, or even raised his voice.  He had a very calm nature about him.  He was there at my most special moments, like my college graduation and my wedding.  In fact, I think he had always tried to make it to all his nephews’ and nieces’ graduation or wedding.  I was very appreciative of that.  His passing was hard for me to process because I did not realize how much time had passed and how much Uncle Cuong’s health had declined in the recent years.  The photos shared were great memories to look through as I remember some of the earlier photos of him and his family because my family was also there. I remembered babysitting Peter when he was just a baby and loving it!  All three of Uncle Cuong and Auntie’s kids (Peter, Randy, and Elaine) are exemplary.  They were so well behaved and amazing as kids.  I remembered just enjoying visiting and spending time with them.  They are truly a special family!  Uncle Cuong, you will be dearly missed by everyone who knew you!  You will always have a special place in my heart!

Mr. Chu was always a very friendly and welcoming person with me. I had the pleasure of meeting him through Randy and Elaine as I was in the marching band with them. I have fond memories of going over to their house to hang out and little did he know, but I always looked forward to speaking to Mr Chu, even if it was just for a few minutes at a time. He always welcomed me into his home and would ask how me and my family were doing. I appreciated that. My deepest condolences for the Chu family during this time. He will be dearly missed.
