

Curtis was a United States Army veteran who served in Germany during the Korean war. After an honorable discharge, he worked in the auto industry in Detroit, Michigan for 18 years. In 1969, he relocated his family to Tucson, Arizona where he worked, and ultimately retired, as a civil service engineer. Curtis was an industrious person who enjoyed hard work, was an inventive and resourceful problem solver, and a good provider for his family.
As a Christian, his faith was most important to him. He was a member of the Cameron Road Church of Christ in Austin, Texas. Additionally, he often used his skills in the mission field in Africa, Haiti, and Central America.
Curtis is survived by his wife Norma Hill-Edwards, a daughter Karen Edwards, a son Tim Edwards, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Edwards-Angell.
After a long battle with renal failure, he is now at peace with the Lord.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Funeral arrangements will be handled by Cook Walden Funeral Home of Austin, Texas.
