Damiana G. Marquez

Damiana G. Marquez passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 22, 2022, at the age of 83. She was a beloving, caring, nurturing wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Damiana leaves behind a loving family that includes son Rodolfo ( Rudy) Marquez Jr. (and Norma) ; daughter Rita Rubio (and Freddy); daughter Rebecca ( Becky) Marquez ; son Ruben Marquez ( and Buffie) ; son Randy (Victor) Marquez ( and Sally); sister Jacinta Mata ( and Aurelio) ; sister Concepcion Castaneda; sister Victoria Trevino; sister Teresa Aguilar( and Arthur); eleven grandchildren and three great- grandchildren; an extend family of many nieces and nephews.

Damiana is preceded in death by her husband Rodolfo Marquez Sr.; father Jesus Gonzales; mother Filigonia Hipolito Gonzales; sister Tomasa Arismendez.

A visitation will occur Monday, May 30, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Weed-Corley-Fish South Chapel, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Monday, May 30, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78704. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church with Father James, 126 W. Oltorf, Austin, Texas 78704. An interment will occur Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S IH 35, Austin, Texas 78704.
