Our beloved DanO (Daniel Lee Ormiston) passed away in his sleep on Sunday, August 21st. Dan was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1961. He moved with his parents to Texas when he was six where they eventually settled in Austin, near Dripping Springs.
Dan graduated from Dripping Springs High School in 1980. He was a great friend who among other things loved to play his drums, drive his “beast”, and play pool.
Dan is survived by his parents, Ben and Kathleen Daniels; his brothers, Michael and John; and his sister, Kelli.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Ken Baldwin of Kinney Avenue Christian Fellowship officiating.
We would like to give a special thank you to Dan’s very good friend Mike Huckabee for caring for him these past few months. Love you DanO. We’ll miss you.
