

Born July 9, 1919 in Buhl, Minnesota, he was a 1st generation American, born to Serbian immigrant parents, the youngest of seven children.
Drafted into the Army in 1942, Daniel was commissioned as a 2Lt in the Army Air Corps in February, 1944 and in September of that year married Mary Antognozzi, also of Buhl who predeceased him in 2002. He separated from the service in 1946 to finish college, and was recalled into the Air Force in 1949. During his 26 year military career Daniel served as a navigator on B-24s, B-29s, and KC-97s and as an electronic warfare officer on B-52s. In Korea he was the navigator on the B-29 “Command Decision,” recognized as the only bomber jet ace and currently on display at the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
Col. Price is survived by daughter, Dianne Neroni and husband Richard of Georgetown and son, Daniel J. Price and wife Marie of Austin. He was blessed with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Museum of the Air Force or Hospice Austin.
A time of visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m., at the Cook-Walden/Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home on Anderson Mill Road.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
