

David Russell Mear David Russell Mear, died in Kindsbach, Germany (Ramstein AFB), on April 4, 2005. He was born March 12, 1957 in Midland, Texas. David graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton, CO, before joining the U.S. Army. He attained the rank of Warrant Officer. At the time of his death, David worked in the 435th Comptroller Squadron as regional manager for Computer Services Corporation. An Eagle Scout, David was a licensed pilot, a scuba diving instructor and an avid enthusiast of martial arts. He is survived by his loving parents of Austin, Texas, Charles E. and Tonie Mear and siblings Diane, Charles Jr., John, Mark, Kathryn, Carolyn, and Steven. David was a kind, generous, modest, brave person and a friend to people throughout the world. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Davids memory to the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin Texas Beyond History project (Kincaid Rock Shelter), the American Heart Association, or to a charity of ones choice.
