Della Ray Mullens

Della Ray Mullens, 86, of Lakeway, died on Wednesday, November 29, 2006. She was born in Bishop, Texas to William Paul and Alvina (Kasperik) Urban on March 3, 1920. Della was a longtime Austin resident and graduated from the Austin High School. Della retired from the Texas Railroad Commission after many years of service. She was very active in many social groups and enjoyed traveling, participating in church activities, spending time with her family and friends, and especially liked playing dominoes. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Austin and, after retiring to Lakeway she attended the Lakeway Church. Mrs. Mullens was preceded in death by her husband Billy Clyde Mullens, her parents and her brother Clarence Urban. She is survived by her son Patrick Mullens and wife Susan, grandsons, Billy Mullens, Michael Mullens and wife Marissa, and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Della’s life will be held at a memorial service in Lakeway Church on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 2:30pm. Interment services will be private.
