Dennis was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in 1946, to Arlie and Catherine Morgan. He was raised in Montgomery, Alabama, where he attended Robert E. Lee High School before honorably serving the United States Army National Guard. In 1976, he married his loving wife, Sandi, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage. They settled in Texas where they made a beautiful home and family.
An electrician by trade, Dennis retired from the State of Texas after more than 30 years of service. In retirement, he enjoyed watching the LSU Tigers, telling jokes and stories, but most of all, spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Arlie Morgan; his mother, Catherine Culpepper; and his brothers, Larry and Dwight Morgan. He is survived by his wife, Sandi; his children, Cody (Danielle), Denny, and Catherine Matens (Andrew); and his grandchildren, Drew, Kate, Reagan, Mason, and Carter.
Family and friends will gather to honor his life at 11:45 am on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive in
Austin, Texas.
Dennis will be dearly missed.
