

Dollie Robinson Hanna of Cedar Park, Texas died May 26, 2010. She was born September 28, 1928 in Austin, Texas the daughter of Buster John and Gertrude Glass Robinson and she was the wife and loving companion of Fred J. Hanna Sr. for 54 years prior to his death. She was proud of being a fifth generation Texan whose ancestors settled in the community of Bastrop in 1830 when it was still part of Mexico. Her great-great grandfather was the Alcalde of Bastrop County in 1835, fought in the Battle of Bexar and the Texas Revolution. After the Revolution the family settled on a league of land along Walnut Creek in Bastrop County. Dollie’s parents moved to Austin in 1920 where she was born. She had the privilege of growing up in Zilker Park where her father was Park Manager for over thirty years. In her later years, she and her husband moved to their ranch in Cedar Park, Texas where deer and over 50 peacocks roamed her property. To those who traveled New Hope Drive, she was known as the “Peacock Lady”. Her parents, her husband, a brother, Robert L. Robinson, and a sister, Mary E. Harris, predeceased her. She is survived by her sons Fred J. Hanna Jr., and Jack J. Hanna of Cedar Park, grandsons Zack and Buster Hanna of Cedar Park, brothers B.J. Robinson Jr. and Jack W. Robinson and wife Jan of Austin, nieces Brenda Moss of Sugarland, Texas and Martha Robinson of Austin, nephews Byron Robinson of San Marcos, Texas, Jeff Robinson of Katy, Texas, and Greg Robinson and Michael Robinson of Dallas, along with numerous great-nieces and newphews. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, in Pflugerville, Texas.
