Mrs. Dolores Rodriguez, 85, of Austin, Texas joined the Lord and her beloved Eddie on July 20th, 2013. Born March 29th, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents, Luis Z and Beatrice M.; her husband, Erasmo M.; and her son, Erasmo Jr.; and her siblings, Ralph, Cisco, Lupe, Henry and Nora. Dolores is survived by her sons, John, Ron, and Robb.
Dolores was a longstanding member of Guadalupanas, the Catholic Daughters at St. Ignatius Church. She attended Blinn College and UT and graduated with a Degree in Nursing. She retired as an RN from the State of Texas. Her passions were her husband, her family and her gardens.
Rarely was she seen out and about without a hat and that is how many will remember her. She was a one of a kind soul and our world will be a little less without her in it.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 and Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish 2620 South Congress. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
