Brother Donald Joseph Hunter, CSC was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on June 8, 1922. He entered the Brothers of Holy Cross on August 15, 1945 and took the name Brother Eagan. He taught in Schools in Indiana, Massachusetts and California and was principal of schools in California and Mississippi. He was a Professor of Education at St. Edward's University, Texas and later the Director of the Associates of Holy Cross in Prayer. He died at St. David's South Austin Hospital on September 24, 2013.
Services for Brother Eagan Hunter will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Brother Vincent Pieau Residence Chapel in Austin, Texas, followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
