

Donna Kay Tatsch, 65, affectionately known as "Queenie" by those of us who loved her, passed away surrounded by her family on March 15, 2014 at St. David's Hospital, in Austin, Texas following her courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born on February 28, 1949 to JoAnn Taylor Barnett and Robert E. Barnett, she was a true 4th generation Austinite. Donna graduated from Reagan High School, attended The University of Texas and went on to become a successful owner and businesswomen in the Mortgage Industry. Her parents preceded her in death.
Four devoted and loving children, Kristy and William Cooper, Tiffany and Bill Toomey, Tracy and Joshua Armstrong, and Trenton Wayne Tatsch along with 10 adoring grandchildren survive her. Her grandchildren are Alison Cooper, Kaitlyn Toomey, Shae Toomey, Hunter Toomey, Piper Toomey, Charley Kay Cooper, Paisley Armstrong, Payton Armstrong, Knox Cooper and Ryder Armstrong. Surviving siblings are Carol and Joe Birdwell, Bobby and Deeanne Barnett and Candy and Ronnie Brown.
A memorial service will be held at Smith Chapel at Riverbend Church on Thursday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Gordon Smith officiating. Serving as Pallbearers are Trent Tatsch, Bobby Barnett, Billy Toomey, Joshua Armstrong, Brad Cooper, and Brian Forsythe. The Family will be greeting guests beginning at 10:30 a.m. After the service, all are invited to join the family at the graveside service at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, 2800 Hancock Drive, and, immediately following, to the Celebration of her life at Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza, 13187 Fitzhugh Road.
Queenie will always be remembered for her joyful enthusiasm, boundless energy, and sparkling charm. Each and every one that was lucky enough to have known her will truly miss her constant good humor and unflappable optimism.
