Dora Benavidez

Dora is preceded in death by her parents Juan Gonzalez and Ramona Zapata, sister Maria Hernas (Matias), brothers Armando Dawes, Augustin Valdez, son Emilio, and husbands Pedro Benavidez, Alejandro Moya, and Manuel Tamez.

She is survived by her sister Dolores Alaniz and husband Arturo, Brother Alejando Zapata and wife Victoria, her sons Guadalupe Moya and his wife Mary, Pedro Benavidez and his wife Mary, and Ruben Benavidez, Daughters Ramona Ramos Siraco, Connie Love and her husband Bill, and Gloria Benavidez. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren, seventy six great grandchildren, and thirty one great-great grandchildren.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening; with a Recitation of the Rosary at seven o’clock on Sunday, the 24th of February 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ten o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 25th of February, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Road, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Austin, Texas.

Active pallbearers will be Jose Moya, Luis Moya, Emiliano Benavidez, Pedro Benavidez III, Adam Benavidez, Rick Perez and Javier Hernandez.
