Doris is survived by her daughter Suzanne Dixon Estes, grandchildren Elizabeth and Andrew, and loving friends. Her greatest joy and passion in life were her grandchildren and daughter. She loved them completely as they love her.
Doris moved to Austin in 1996 to be near her grandchildren. She became a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church where she made many wonderful friends and served the church as well as she could. Doris also enjoyed volunteering for Seton Hospital, encouraging her friends to volunteer their time in some way as well. She will be remembered by many for her kind heart and generous spirit.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
