Dorothy Neuenschwander died peacefully in her sleep on August 6, 2009 after a brief struggle dealing with injuries from a fall. She lived a healthy 96 years, and is now in a much better place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15th, 1:30 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish South, 2620 S. Congress, Austin. Dorothy was preceded in death by Fred Neuenschwander, her husband of 54 years. She is survived by her sons Fred Neuenschwander and Charles Neuenschwander, her daughter Ann Wait, as well as four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dot, as she was known to her friends, was a Houston native, and spent early retirement years with her husband in Hot Springs, AR. She then moved to Austin to The Summit at Westlake in 1997 where she thrived for 13 years. We will all miss her warmth, openness, and living example of her faith.
