Dwayne graduated on June 11, 1988 from Wiesbaden High School in Germany. Growing up in Germany Dwayne enjoyed playing football, basketball, and even had several write ups in the newspaper.
Dwayne was passionate about fishing, camping, and grilling ribs. He enjoyed being with friends and family. Dwayne was known for his infections smiles and witty sense of humor. He was a loyal friend and was dedicated to the youth he mentored in Austin, Texas. Dwayne retired from Dove Springs Recreation Center in 2021.
Sadly, Dwayne left us suddenly on January 22, 2023. While we will eventually recover from the shock of his unexpected departure, our lives will never be the same without his presence. Although we have loved, and will continue to love Dwayne with wall of our hearts, God loved him best and decided to call him home at this time.
Dwayne is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Anderson and brother, Rodney Anderson. He is survived by his father, Emerson Anderson and step-mother, Annette Anderson; Grandmother, Vincent Sowells; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
May he rest in eternal peace.
A celebration of life for Dwayne will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.
