E. P. Richards

E P Richards E P Richards, 86, passed away after a lengthy illness on June 14, 2008. He was known as "Pete" to his family and friends. Pete was born April 10, 1922, in Lufkin, Texas. He grew up in Tyler and even though he worked and lived in Louisiana and Illinois in the early stages of his career, his roots were in Texas. He lived for most of his life and raised his family in Pasadena, Texas. Pete attended Texas A&M University until he volunteered for military service during WWII. He met his wife, Gene Falbo, during this time and after their marriage he finished his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M and worked in the Petrochemical industry through the 1990s. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gene Richards; his son Edward Richards (wife Kate Rathbun) and his daughter Robin Robertson (husband Daryl). His grandchildren are Libby and Kitty Richards and Stuart and Max Robertson. Thanks to the Summit at Westlake and especially to our wonderful team from Hospice Austin for their support during the past year. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park. Obituary and guestbook online at wcfish.com
