

Lloyd (PawPaw) Burt, 92 of Austin, Texas went to be with our Lord on March 27th, 2021. His love for his family and friends was felt by many. Lloyd enjoyed telling stories of the good old days and those who knew him will always remember his easy laugh. He was loved by so many.
Lloyd was born on March 11, 1929 in Travis County, just west of Austin, to Laura and Earvie Burt. In 1945 he joined the Rodeo Cowboys Association and met the love of his life, Sue Burt, in Lubbock, Texas while traveling the rodeo circuit. Lloyd and Sue married on December 22, 1947 and continued rodeoing for several more years until Lloyd retired from the circuit in 1953. Lloyd settled in Oak Hill where he and Sue raised their two sons. Lloyd went on to have a career as a crane operator and was a union member of Local 450 of Austin, Texas. Lloyd had a passion for his family and loved to host loved ones for holidays. Lloyd also enjoyed attending activities that his great-grandchildren were involved in and he was passionate about his dogs, racing horses, and buying and selling antiques and western memorabilia.
Lloyd is survived by his sons Tommy Lloyd Burt and wife Suzanne, and Ronny Burt; grandchildren Tommy Blake Burt and wife Ellen, Stephanie Hollanders, and Bridget Ellison and husband Johnny; great-grandchildren Taylor Hollanders, Blake Burt, Augusta Burt, Brooke Ellison, and Britten Ellison.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents Laura and Earvie Burt, his wife Sue Burt, and his daughter-in-law, Cathy Burt.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 am on Friday, April 2, 2021 at White Rock Cemetery, 14101 Texas 71, Bee Caves, Texas 78738. Reception to follow at the home of Lloyd Burt, 6719 Ridge Oak Road, Austin, Texas 78749.
