Dell is preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Delbert Hickerson, who moved from Arkansas to Texas to be near Dell and her family in Austin and Buda. Her sister, Robbie Jean and husband Doug Blake from La Mesa California preceded her in death too.
Edna is survived by her husband, Louis Porter Burns and daughter Melissa Blair (Mike); stepdaughter, Cherilyn and husband Joe Wilson; stepson, Randy Burns and wife, Sherry; niece Susan and her husband, Les Hane; nephew, Alan Blake and his wife, Patty. She also had six step-grandchildren and nine great step- grandchildren, whom she loved to see in person or see pictures of.
Retiring after many years as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell, she served 17 years as her church's secretary. Edna enjoyed playing the piano and organ. Singing was also a passion whether at home or in church. No longer in pain, ever at peace with her Lord, she is now singing in God's heavenly choir. Edna was loved and will be missed by many.
