Edward John Coel Edward John Coel left us on November 24th 2003 to join God and his wife Claudine. E.J. was born November 14th, 1924 in Austin, Texas, was educated as a petroleum engineer at the University of Texas in Austin and spent his career years supervising the drilling of oil and gas in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. He was a decorated World War II veteran, a loving husband to Claudine Coel for 51 years, and an adored father and grandfather. Edward spent his retirement years living on Lake Travis, volunteering at the food bank and library, and watching his beloved Longhorns play ball. He is survived by his son Edward Coel and wife Mary, Rebecca Luethcke and husband David, Susan Clinton and husband Steve, and Melinda Schraub. He will be missed by his grandchildren Jason Coel and wife Carina, Carolyn and Richard Coel, Ashley Guynes, Cynthia and Katherine Luethcke. The memorial mass will take place on Friday, November 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway, Texas 78734.
