

Edward Joseph Regan, 93, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2008. He was born in Monrovia, California but resided in El Paso, Texas for over 75 years before moving to Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Regan; parents Edward Joseph Regan and Madelin Gray Regan, sister, Peggy Steddham and brothers Bud Regan and Jim Regan. Mr. Regan worked for Ponsford Brothers General Contractors in El Paso as an estimator and oversaw many major construction projects. His greatest pleasure in life was his family. Second was his love of gardening. In the spring his yard was in constant bloom with the roses always stealing the show. Mr. Regan became a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in March of 2006. On Sundays, his great grandchildren would run to greet him. He would set them in the seat of his walker and joyfully push them into the sanctuary to worship. He is survived by sons Edward J Regan III, daughter-in-law Barbara; Mike Regan, daughter-in-law Linda; five grandchildren and four great grand children. Visitation will be Monday, March 3 from 5 to7pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 Carolina Ave, El Paso, Texas. Graveside services will be at Evergreen East Cemetery on Tuesday, March 4 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Generation-to-Generation Endowment Fund, Hope Presbyterian Church, 11512 Olson Drive, Austin, Texas 78750 or a charity of your choice.
