Edwin George McNeil, age 87, of Lakeway, Texas died July 31, 2003. He was born September 22, 1915 to Edwin M. and Lillian B. McNeil in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ed received his BA degree in geology from Colgate University, class of 37, and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi. He was a Naval Officer during WWII. Ed had a long career in the metal fabrication engineering industry, retiring at the age of 77. He had been a member of The Houston Club. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years, Mary R. McNeil. Ed is survived by his wife of 18 years, Betty T. McNeil; his children Kathryn, Barbara and Patricia and her husband Daniel Blunt and granddaughter Mary Blunt. He is also survived by his stepchildren Marcia Kurtz and Ben McGuire and their families. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at Lakeway Church, 2203 Lakeway Blvd., Lakeway, Texas 78734.
