Born on September 12, 1961, in Hamtramck, Michigan, Elizabeth was the cherished daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Maciatek. As a young woman, she moved to upstate New York where she married her husband Larry and created a home to raise their 2 children, many family pets and shared nearly 40 years of marriage together.
Elizabeth had a long career in community banking, taking on many roles across several branches. She loved being part of her small town’s daily rhythm, greeting familiar faces, sharing in life’s milestones, and forming lasting friendships that extended far beyond her working years. Her warmth, grace, and genuine care for others were evident in her work.
Above all, Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She never missed a school event, game, or concert, always offering her support and encouragement. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could laugh at life’s various challenges. Family gatherings were filled with her home-cooked meals and famous desserts, made with love and joy. She loved reading and gardening, often displaying the flowers lovingly gathered by Larry. She shared many special hours doing crafts and reading with her cherished grandson Dev. She always appreciated spending time outdoors camping or having a fire.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and the kindness she offered so freely to others. She faced recent health challenges with courage and grace, always maintaining her thoughtfulness and dignity.
She is deeply missed by her husband Larry; her children, Thomas Fink and Sarah (Fink) Patel; her grandson Dev; siblings-Theresa (Jim Gage) Scott, Jeanette Fedorkiw, Mary Richardson, Ed (Cindy) Maciatek, Elaine (Chris) Wood, Joanne (Steve) Fink; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
