On August 30th 2005 while Hurricane Katrina was making landfall, Elizabeth Marie Henry came roaring into this world. On August 26th 2023, she went home to her creator just four days shy of her eighteenth birthday. Our beautiful young lady was an artistic, talented and creative bright light to all who loved her. Beth, as she was known, had just graduated from Akins High School in Austin, Texas, where she loved playing in the band all four years. Living in Austin all her life, Beth was very close to her mother Amanda, and they enjoyed going on adventures together, working out and cooking great food. Beth was a strong young woman who was loved by so many. Her friends meant the world to her, they were extended family who brought her so much joy, and she did the same for them.
She is survived by her mother Amanda Henry, aunt and uncle Maura and Michael Rivera, uncle Jacob Henry, cousins Maddie and Makayla Rivera, grandparents Ron and Belinda Webb, brother Liam Henry, great-grandfather Charles Simmons, and many extended cousins and family who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her brother Christopher Henry, father Sean Henry, great-grandparents Verna Simmons and Lee & Marie Webb.
Services for sweet Beth are being handled by Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. Beth's mother requests photos of Beth to be shared on her Dignity Memorial page.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Beth's name to The Akins High School Band.
Celebration of Life Service for Elizabeth will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Trinity Church of Austin, 4001 Speedway, Austin, Texas 78751. Followed by a time of fellowship.
