Ellen Lin, 76, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, after an 18-year battle with a hemorrhagic stroke. Born on July 16, 1947, in Chiayi, Taiwan, she immigrated to the United States with her family in the late 1970s, settling in Houston, Texas.
Known for her kindness and generosity, Ellen was a dedicated small business owner who cherished her customers and loved ones. Despite facing challenges, including divorce and a traumatic brain injury, Ellen rebuilt her life with resilience and humor, creating beautiful memories with friends and family through gatherings and shared meals.
Ellen is survived by her only son, Tim, her sister Yvonne (Jim) Huang, and extended family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and fortitude. A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Remembrance Gardens in Austin, TX.
