Elliot McIntosh was born to the union of the late Henry and Nice Ann (Hardin) McIntosh on July 10, 1935 in Bastrop County, Texas. He attended school in the Littig Community of the Bastrop County School system. He served in the United States Army and later moved to Houston, Texas. While in Houston, he was employed as a chef at the Hoi Toi restaurant and the Houston Country Club.
Elliot moved to Austin, Texas in his later years and united with Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He faithfully attended the 10 am service at GMZ. He enjoyed meeting people and attending the annual Hardin/McIntosh/Williams reunion. He was a great cook and took care of lawns for many individuals.
Elliot departed this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Clarence Howard McIntosh, and Michael Henry Bush; siblings, Willie McIntosh, Wilma Trigg, Elbert Ree McIntosh, Ruthie Hall, and James McIntosh. He is survived by his daughters, Lori A. Bush-Francis of Houston, Texas, and Lisa Morris of Spring, Texas; one sister, Virginia Raye McIntosh of Bastrop, Texas; a close friend, Mr. James (Jimp) Houston of Austin, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
