

Enrico Lucidio Reedy passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020, in Austin, Texas at the age of 78 after an 11-year battle with cancer. Enrico was born in Desenzao, Italy on November 14, 1942. Enrico was dearly loved by his wife of 55 years, Lupe, and their children, Debbie (Brian) Parish and Enrico (Stephanie) Reedy Jr. His grandkids Enrico (Samantha) Reedy III, Gabriela McNitzky, and Stefan Reedy. His two great-grandkids Abigail and Parker Reedy with another one on the way who he always referred to as “number 5”. Enrico is also loved by his two brothers David (Barbara) Reedy, Richard (Mary) Reedy, his niece and nephew, Angela and Gianni, and many friends and family.
Enrico attended school at Del Valle High School, class of 1961, and enlisted into the United States Navy shortly after. Enrico served in the Navy for three years as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic. After his time in the Navy, he started with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier which he retired after 27 years of exceptional service. Lastly, he was a self-taught computer technician where he worked multiple jobs in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Austin, Texas.
In his free time, he enjoyed golf, bowling, working on cars, when in Las Vegas playing video poker and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Some of his biggest achievements include bowling a 770 in a three-game league play, hitting a hole-in-one in San Diego, and countless winnings from Las Vegas.
He will be remembered for: being a highly motivated and expectational worker, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was proud to understand his family heritage that comes from Italy and would always tell everyone how and when he and his mom came from Ellis Island in 1947.

A visitation for Enrico will take place at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home on December 27 at 5:00 pm, Rosary will follow at 6:00 pm. Service will be held graveside at Assumption Cemetery on December 28 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Austin Hospice, American Cancer Society, or any cancer donation of choice.
