Rico,

I'm almost a year late, but something tugged at my heart to see how you were doing.  It pains me that I found that you are now gone.  Rico, you were and will continue to be a wonderful man and you have taught me so much in the little time I knew you.  Working with you, laughing with you, enjoying a round or two on the course...these are memories I will cherish for a lifetime.  And though I did not have the pleasure of meeting your family, I will pray for them all continually.  The passing of a loved one is never an easy thing, but I am more than confident that we will all have a chance to laugh and swing the sticks in Glory with our Heavenly Father.  

May you continue to rest in peace, my friend.

Bubba,
You have been there for us since I can remember ! You have always been truthful with me when I will go to you for guidance! 
 I will especially miss our road trips, and movie times - but I won’t miss the politics lol

We will be here to keep Nene busy and to continue our Saturday UT games and Sunday luncheons!

I’ve only known Rico for a few years, but what a great friend. Working at Time Warner I had an opportunity to work with and know Rico. Rico and Walter ask me to play golf with them due to a couple of no shows with the other golf partner. That started monthly and sometimes weekly golf outing with friends for years. Not only did he teach me about golf, but he is truly a dear friend. We played, we competed and we had laughs on the golf course. He told us stories of the old country and how proud he was of his family, especially his grandchildren. We talked about serving our country and the pride that come with being in the military. I thank the Lord for Rico and Walter asking me to start golfing with them, because I will never forget my friends or their love.

I’m sorry for missing the funeral. I wanted to pay my respects to Rico Reedy and his family, but due to COVID-19 it wasn’t possible. 
In closing I would like to make note that I’m a better man today for knowing and being Rico friend.

Rico "Bubba" Reedy, a Legend in his own Time.
We were Blessed to be friends with such a great man and his wonderful wife for many, many years!  Thanks to his son  "Coco" who introduced us to each other.
He was one of the smartest  people we knew and nothing was  beyond his reach!  When he set his mind on something....Watch Out World...because he was on Fast Forward! 
He will always be a part of our great memories that will never fade. 

   I Will Fix Him like a peg in a sure spot,/to be a place of honor for his family;/On him shall hang all the glory of his family:/descendants and offspring.

I went thru and finished 13 weeks of Navy Boot Camp with  Rico in San Diego Calif. He was a super friend and shipmate and we also had some liberty week ends spent in San Leandro Calif in my family home.  
Rico, may you Rest In Peace. I have many good memories of the time and experiences we shared. Till we meet again may you have fair winds and following seas in Heaven  .....    Arnie

We have so many memories together that I will love forever. I knew you’d always be there for me if I ever needed help for anything.
You taught me so much from how to work on my car, to making sure I knew what to do on road trips to make them as easy as possible, and many other things that will help me in life.
 I’ll miss you checking up on me to make sure I was doing well in school and making sure I was keeping up with my car maintenance. I’ll especially miss you when I come over for lunch on the weekends and watch those movies that never get old, no matter how many times we watch them.  
You were always there supporting me and cheering me on, while also keeping me motivated in achieving my goals. Whatever I decide to do, I know you always be watching me and making sure I’m doing my best.

They say when we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain in angel in heaven that watches over us. I truly believe that you are watching over us. You were a wonderful man, husband, father, grand and great-grand father and will be missed by all of us! I want to thank you for always making me feel welcome and part of the family. I loved how you always were looking out for Coco and I, when a storm was brewing or coming to Florida. You were always making sure we were okay and safe. We miss you dearly and love you. It always seems like it takes times like this to make you think and say things you should have said before you lose a loved one. The past few weeks has really made realize that you were more than a great father. You were a great person that touched many lives. There were times we didn’t see eye to eye on things but it never tarnished the memories that we shared with each other and as a family. If I tried to list everyone I wouldn’t know when to stop. Yes I could have been a better son and done things better but you never turned your back on me and was there to help with whatever you could. I do hope that I am as great a husband, father and grandfather that you were. You will be truly missed.

I’ve only known you for three short years, but you’ve impacted my life more than you probably knew. From the first time I met you, you welcomed me into the family with open arms and I’ll forever appreciate that. After meeting you, you’d constantly check in on me and ask how Cabby (my dog) was. You’d  always tell me about your dog Bogey and how much you loved him and missed him. You’d check on me almost everyday through Rico’s (#3) first deployment and making sure I was okay during the holidays. I loved knowing that you were tracking our flight anytime we’d come to visit or go anywhere else. Anytime we drove to Vegas, San Diego or Austin, you’d tell us what exit or gas stations to stop at. I always looked forward to seeing you waving at us in the driveway when we came into Austin and I’ll miss it more than you know. I loved hearing your stories about your time in the Navy and stories about Rico when he was a kid.  When I deployed, you made sure to text me almost daily asking how I was doing and educating me about the Middle East. I’m so glad I got that picture with the camel that you always asked for and I’m so glad you were able to be Rico’s best man in our wedding. Those are memories we will never forget and always hold close to our hearts. 

Thank you for always ensuring to let me know you loved us and appreciated us. I will miss your laugh, stories, jokes, singing and phrases that I’d always have to look up.  I’m so sad you never got to meet #5, but I know you’ll always be watching over him and all of us. I love you so much Bubba and will miss you beyond measures. Thanks for being the best grandpa Rico and his kids could ever ask for and thank you for making such an impact in my life for the short three years I knew you. I know we have the best guardian angel always looking over us.

When I was driving from Las Vegas to Austin you followed me and told me which exit and gas station to stop at!

Rico, my man! I loved you dearly.  You're a dear friend of mine through Walter Ilund that we are shared great moments together!I loved your patience and perseverance to help me through struggles and frustration.  Those mostly on the golf course! 😀

I miss you hombre! I will through Walter for all the golf tips as he had an inner channel with you.  Bring me some good luck ☘️ I'll think of you always.  Thanks for all the advice  and tips.

Memories with you are endless and I can remember some as early as 5. I will cherish all the time that we were able to spend throughout the years from out on a tee box at 7 am or fixing on a car being woken up to an air compressor to watching you make your amazing ribs, that I wish I could come close to duplicating. You have made such an impact on many people that you have met throughout your life. 
I will miss hearing the same stories that you would tell me from over 20 years ago. I will miss you talking about your time in the Navy. I will miss being around you as you always knew how to make a bad day better. I will miss your smile every time I drove in to spend time with you. You will be dearly missed, but I know you'll be watching over all of us and being our biggest fan as we continue to grow and achieve the dreams you have always supported. 
Thank you for the guidance you have given. Thank you for the love you have always given. Thank you for always keeping me motivated on what I wanted to achieve. You won't be there in person, but I know you'll be watching me, criticizing me if I mess up the bbq sauce. I look forward to the next time I can sit down with you and have a cold one.

Thank you so much for being such an inspirational figure, as a lost teenager til now,I always felt welcomed by you and the Reedy family. I will always remember the wisdom and knowledge you shared with me and you even got me to wear a longhorn hat(as an avid aggie fan) during a weekend bbq during the annual red river shootout! You will be dearly missed.Rest your oars shipmate, we have the watch.

Dear Bubba,
While I would need a book to write all my favorite memories, I will start with the ones I hold close to my heart. 
Firstly, I loved how you were my biggest fan in everything I did. You were apart of so many milestones in my life. I’m so thankful I got to spend those days with you, telling me how you couldn’t be more proud. In everything I continue to do, I will always hear your voice in my head telling me “I’m proud of you Gabus.”
Additionally, your BBQ ribs will always be my favorite memory. You would spend all day just to get them perfect, and no one will ever come close to those ribs. (Little Rico can try). Thank you for always making me your chocolate smoothies as a kid when it was well past my bedtime. I was so spoiled by you, Bubba.
You did so much for all of us, Bubba and are deeply missed. But, our family couldn’t ask for a better guardian Angel. We know you will be right there with us, watching us, and laughing with us. 
I love you so much. Rest easy, and I look forward to seeing you again in paradise.

Dear Lupe, Coco  , Debbie and all the rest,   To say we are sorry for your loss is not enough we are not being selfish when we say we share your loss.     Rico was my fellow  postal worker, my mechanic, my golfing partner, my fellow gambling partner when we would all meet in Vegas, but most of all he was my friend.   For more years than I can remember we had a "understood" sunrise tee time all year round, the only discussion was which course.   The last 22 years it has been a lot of phone calls that usually ended with Rico saying "well we are all caught up". We never were.

Sending our prayers to the Reedy family. Rico was a beautiful man (inside and out)  I think of him, smiling and laughing down at us, shaking his head at Walter's attempt for a good round of golf!  You will be missed and we will always be thinking of you! Rest in peace my friend (and hit 'em long and straight in heaven) 

To the family of Rico my deepest condolences I only meet him a couple of times at the golf course what I remember he was a good man wish I would of spent more time with him to get to know him better no though I would of enjoyed his company may he Rest In Peace with the Lord and god bless you all 🙏

Met Rico while working at Time Warner Cable. He was very energetic and friendly. We eventually became golf buddies. He was always ready to give pointers to help improve my game. His memory of the breaks on the greens was uncanny. You had better believe him if he told you where and how much it would break even if you couldn’t see it. I called him my Sensei when it came to golf. Once in a while I would call him Bubbalishous just to bug him. I considered Bubba a close friend. He will be dearly missed.
