Fern worked as a cake decorator for many years, and was well-known for her skill. She was a long time faithful and loyal member of Koenig Lane Christian Church in Austin. She was a talented painter and loved her arts & crafts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wally Schwartz, brother Lawrence Foale, and sisters, Dott Salli and Vada Long.
Fern is survived by her son and daughter-in-law David & Pam Long, son Larry Long, grandson Jeremy (Long) Hicks and wife Michelle, step-grandson John Faller, and great-grandsons Elijah & Noah Hicks.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Christopher House or the Capital of Texas Chapter Alzheimer’s Association.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery 14501 N IH-35 Pflugerville, TX.
