Our sincere condolences to Sylvia and her family, on behalf of Ezequiel Gonzales and daughter Olga Cantu.

I knew Fred for years as he lived just a block down the street from my parents.  My brother bought Fred's 1958 Corvette from him.  Fred loved that car and some other Corvettes to boot!    I remember him when he had the liquor store and his many years at Steck and Hart.   He was a great business man and was a pleasure to work with.  He was always fair to all his employees and truly cared about others.   I've thought of him often through the years.  He will be missed!

I first knew of Fernando when he had his '57 red Chevy Bel Aire and he would pass by our family laundry and cleaners with Gloria.  Later, I found out he was the half-brother of my cousin Margaret Teran.  This takes me back many years.  I went to school with Sam, Fernando's younger brother. I had heard about Uncle Ba before I had the opportunity to meet him. When I finally got to meet him in person, everything I had heard about him was true. I joined Tammy and her uncle at the races and it's a trip that will forever stay in my memory. He was funny, warm and enjoyed sharing the day and his love of racing with us.  

To the Cantu family, my deepest condolences to you all. May your memories give you strength and make you smile during the difficult times. My prayers and love to you all.

Dear cousin, Sylvia and family,
On behalf of my Mom, Virginia Ojeda, Linda, Angie and myself please accept our sincere condolences Although I don't see you often you are always in my heart.  May God give you strength as you face the loss of Fernando.  He was a great person and I have such fond memories of him.  God bless and tons of love.

Sylvia, Brenda, Liza, Holly, Dorothy, and family --  I am so sorry for your loss.  He was a great husband, father, and brother.  

It was a joy to grow up across the street.  I can close my eyes and see him polishing that red and white Vette!  I remember your dad as a kind man.  My prayers are will all of you.

I will miss you and our great times drag racing and telling stories. I love you
