

Frances Mary Besselle, age 88 of Austin passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016. She was born on April 23, 1928 to William and Frances Keller in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Lady of Charity, Frances volunteered over 30 years at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on Congress Avenue. Her compassion to help others in need will be remembered by those whose paths she crossed. In her travels as a military spouse, she also volunteered at both military and community hospitals. Her support and dedication to the military included being an Air Force wife and her service as President of the Navy Mother's Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Williams and Frances Keller; husband, Frank Leonard Besselle; grandson, Kenleigh Francis Young; sister, Dorothy O'Boyle; and nephews, Johnny O'Boyle and Joseph O'Boyle.
Frances is survived by her son, William "Billy" Besselle of Austin; daughter, Gertrude "Gert" Young and son-in-law Major (retired) USAF Dana Young, Jr. of Abilene; daughter, Frances "Vicki" Everett and son-in-law Terry Everett of Austin.
Her grandchildren include: Dana Young III and Georgia, Matthew Young and spouse Marlyn, Peter Young, Paul Young and spouse Brittney, Stephen Young, Timothy Young, Brian Everett and spouse Kim, Teresa Breckner and spouse Scott, and Jessica Batchko and spouse Brock.
Her great grandchildren include: Kenley and Katy Young, Hailey and Taylor Young, and Brynnlee and Sydney Breckner. Also surviving are numerous relatives and friends in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Honoring Frances as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 13th at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ignatius Food Pantry.
