Frances Price

Frances Strandtmann Price, 98, passed away December 26, 2011. Frances was born June 6, 1913, to Fritz and Josie Vogel Strandtmann in Maxwell, Texas, from there she moved to Lockhart until 1926 when she moved to Austin.

Frances attended St. Mary's Academy, graduated in 1930, and attended the University of Texas. She was employed as Secretary by the U.S. Geological Survey for about 25 years, retiring December 26, 1980.

She married LeRoy William Price on April 8, 1939. Mr. Price died March 9, 1958.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Josie Vogel Strandtmann, a sister in infancy and five brothers.

She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Pat and Tom Connolly of Austin, Mary Lou and Charles Morrison of Austin, Barbara and David Hill of Boerne; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Willie Mae Strandtmann; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Frances was a member of St. Austin Catholic Church.

Frances would like to thank her sons-in-laws for their continuous support and dedication.

The family thanks the staff and employees of Emeritus for their loving care.

A Private Family Funeral service will be held at St. Austin Catholic Church.
