Frances Marie White, age 87, of Austin died Saturday, May 10, 2008. She was a native Austinite and was born March 28, 1921 to Will and Josephine Hammond White. Frances was a state employee for over 65 years, 50 years of which was with the Department of Human Services. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1306 West Lynn with Reverend Sarah Currie officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Tate, John David Balch, Richard White, Jr., Richard Windsor and Adam Swartz. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Richard A. White and Charles W. White. She is survived by her nephew, Richard W. White and his wife Patricia; great niece, Christine White; great nephew, Richard W. White, Jr. and his wife Patricia; and one great-great nephew, Milan.
