Francisco "Frank" Medina Veloz

eternal home on December 21, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and family. His life was

blessed with 53 years of marriage, four children, three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for over 50 years and read scripture daily.

Frank retired from Wallace Engraving Company after 45 years as a Photo Engraver. He spent

his retired years doing many home projects, including remodeling his parents’ home and his

wife’s parent’s home. He was a self-taught carpenter, auto-mechanic and perfected many other

trades. His devoted wife Joyce became his apprentice and was always by his side. They worked

on home, car repairs and most anything together. She gained a wealth of knowledge from him

through the years. Frank loved classic cars and rebuilding motors. He proudly owns a 66’

Chevy truck and could be found spending time restoring his truck or under the hood making

improvements. He loved the outdoors and could be found maintaining his yard and enjoying

the home they built together 41 years ago. Over the years they shared many happy memories.

Unknown to Joyce, he kept a shirt from their first date. His desire was for it to go along with

him in his eternal home.

Frank is survived by his wife Joyce Veloz, four daughters; Grace Johnson (Jerry) of Buda, Esther

Molina (Jaime) of Mountain City, Christine Abreo (Johnny) of Buda and Betty Jean Undrus

(Greg) of Georgetown, all in Texas. Three grandchildren, Phillip Abreo (Kelsey), Brianna Abreo

(Xavier Cruz) and Francisco Johnson. Two great-grandchildren, Olivia Abreo and Jay Abreo.

Preceded in death by his granddaughter Katherine Grace Veloz, his parents Juan and Manuela

Veloz, his five sisters and three brothers.

Pallbearers: Francisco Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Johnny Abreo, Phillip Abreo, Jaime Molina and

Xavier Cruz.

Due to the pandemic and out of an abundance of caution; the family wishes for the funeral

service to remain private. We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
