He immediately went to work for IBM in Huntington, WV repairing typewriters. He was transferred back to Lexington in 1958 where he was involved in the development of Selectric typewriter products. Specifically the Selectric input/output machines. He was a production line manager in Lexington before being transferred to Austin, Tx in 1968 where he was in management until his retirement in 1987.
Frank and Anna Jean were long time members of Hyde Park Baptist Church and most recently, the new Austin Baptist Church in northwest Austin. He spent his retirement years playing golf every Thursday morning at Lions Municipal (Old Muni), watching the grandkids play Little League ball and traveling throughout the U.S.
