Freda Heallen Elliott

Freda became a Christian at a young age, and was a long-time faithful member of Koenig Lane Christian Church. She was a devoted wife and mother, an excellent cook, a skillful seamstress, and a doting and fun-loving grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Elliott, Jr.; two brothers, Printess Heallen and Fred Heallen; and three sisters, Allene Paschall, Buna Johnson, and Jewell Kirschner.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Don Davis of Austin; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carrie Elliott of Winter Park, Florida; her brother, Kenneth Heallen of Hutto; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Davis, Randy Elliott and wife Morgan, Daniel Elliott, Carrie Davis Ryan, and Stephanie Davis Garcia.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening on Saturday, the 13th of October 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

A funeral service will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 14th of October 2012, at Koenig Lane Christian Church, 908 Old Koenig Lane, Austin, Texas. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, memorials may be sent to Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 100, Austin, Texas, 78759, whose compassionate care of Freda was a blessing to her and her family.
