Frederick Bradley Wallis, 90, died November 12, 2003. Fred was born January 6, 1913 in Wortham Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he met and married the love of his life, Ethlene Ross. After serving as a Naval officer in the Asiatic-Pacific theater during WWII, he returned to his beloved Texas and began his lifes work as a geophysicist with Texaco. Working in Texas, Western Canada and Louisiana, Fred found the work of looking for oil fun. As this hard-working man said, I never worked a day in my life. Fred is survived by his son Will Wallis; his son John Wallis and wife Martha Rutland; grandchildren Andrew and Michael Wallis; daughter Kathy Holler and husband Trygve; and brother Hal Wallis and wife Amy. All who knew Fred miss his energy for life, his generosity, his high ideals, and especially the humor that shone so frequently in the blue of his eyes.
