Gene Emerson Diskey passed away March 29, 2008. He was married to Pauline Sayers Diskey of Austin. He had resided in Dallas since 1960. His career was in technical theater consulting and lighting design. Gene studied at Baylor University and Yale University School of Drama. He is succeeded by his wife, Pauline Diskey of Dallas; his sister, Norma Borror of Long Beach, CA; his adopted granddaughter, Skye Garrett of Sachse, TX, and many nieces and nephews. He will be buried at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery, Tuesday, April 1 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a visitation prior to burial at Weed Corley-Fish Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. The service will be held in the Ellis Chapel at 2:00 pm, Friday April 4th. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missions at First Baptist Church, Austin or Missions: Park Cities Baptist Church, Dallas.
