

Gladys was born in Bracken, Texas on September 22, 1923 to William M. Stahl and Cecelia Ida Bremer and died in New Braunfels, TX on June 30, 2010. She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1940 at the age of 16. Gladys loved going to dances and was widely known as a great cook. Anyone who talked to her any length of time was sure to get at least one recipe. She loved her family and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She had an incredible memory and enjoyed discussing everything from the good old days to current events.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Elmer Eickmann, married November 29, 1940, and her second husband of 28 years, Roy E. Pattison, married July 2, 1970; mother, Cecelia Bremer Stahl; father, William M. Stahl; daughter, Kathleen Joy Martin; stepmother, Madelyn Stahl; stepsister, Louise Duncan; brother-in-law, John Duncan; good friends, Erhardt and Bernice Scheel of New Braunfels.
She is survived by her son, William Eickmann and his wife Arlene of Needville, Texas; son, Kenneth Eickmann and his wife Charlene of Austin; son-in-law, Tommy Martin of San Marcos; sister, Betty Fuller and her husband Roland of Nacogdoches; brother-in-law, Marvin Ratts; grandchildren, Susanne Brumbelow and Mark Baranowski, Terry and Heather Martin, Jeff and Sandy Eickmann, Rebecca and Grant Christianson, Timmy and Lilly Martin, Brittne Bailey, Christine Graf, Jason and Melody Eickmann; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas, on Saturday, July 3, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
