Gladys was born in Millam County, August 7, 1920 to Alice & Emil Pharrdrescher. She moved to Austin during World War II. She married her husband of 62 years on February 14, 1945 in Travis County, TX. She worked various jobs during her career and retired from Steck Vaughn company in the early 1970’s. Gladys is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Robert and Yvonne Von Quintus, grandchildren Greg Von Quintus, Christopher & wife Kim Von Quintus and six great-grandchildren, sister Eleanor Schmidt, brother Emil (Sonny) & wife Mary Francis Pharrdrescher. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hilmer Von Quintus, sister Dorothy Frazier and sister Jessie Lee Nardechia.
The family extends thanks to the doctors and staff of Stonebridge Medical center for the care Gladys received during her final years.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Wednesday, the 14th of November 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 15th of November 2012, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Interment will take place at half past two o’clock in the afternoon in Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
