Grant was my boss for 15 years, but during that time he also became a friend.  He was very hard-working and we all put in many hours, but Grant was always there with us.  

For his 60th birthday we had a crazy celebration at work and he was greeted by a co-worker dressed as a nurse with a wheelchair.  Most people would have been offended, but not Grant.  He ate up all the attention throughout the day and arrived to his lunch celebration in the cafeteria, in that wheelchair.  It was such a good memory for him that when a group of us celebrated his 78th birthday last year at his home, he told me it was very nice, but nothing would compare to his 60th birthday celebration.

After Grant no longer worked with us at Westinghouse, we still met him for lunch.  Oftentimes his wife Mary would also join a group of us and it was always a good time.  We were his team and we will all miss him very much.

Prayers of strength go out to Grant's  family as they continue their lives without him.  But we all know he is smiling down on them and all of us.  He is strong again.

I worked for Grant at Westinghouse when I was a senior in high school and thinking about pursuing a career in accounting.  Grant was so positive and patient with me during this time. I learned so much from him and his staff at the time. My dad, Robert Tranchon,  worked with Grant as well. When my dad passed away six years ago, Grant was there at the service and took the time to find me, share some old stories and pay his respects. It meant the world to my entire family.  I just heard about Grant's passing and had to let you know that our hearts break with yours.  

I remember Grant as a very positive and person. There were some challenging times in the late eighties at Westinghouse and Grant was one of the bright light back then. 

May God watch over his remaining family. I am sure he is up in heaven smiling at then.
