Guadalupe Rodriguez

Guadalupe Rodriguez was one of fifteen children born to Samuel & Consuelo Rodriguez in Mathis, Texas on April 4, 1951.

She passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Austin Texas surrounded by her children. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, siblings, grandson, son-in-law and niece.

Growing-up in Austin, she enjoyed shopping, never wore the same outfit twice. She could rock a blazer like no one else. She loved dancing, playing Loteria with her sisters, and spending time with family. Not to mention, mom loved to gamble and never turned down the opportunity to visit the nearest Casino. Mom was a great cook mastering the art of cornbread dressing and her turkey gravy was second to none. Just ask her grandchildren. She also was a diehard Cowboys Fan and never missed a Saturday Longhorn Game. Mom definitely bled orange. Hook’Em.

Mom is survived by her husband, Fernando Salas, children, Veronica Rendon (Mark); Nancy Rendon-Torres (Maria); Lisa Rendon; Roy Rendon; Michael Rendon (Vickie),Emily Patina (Santos), Jennifer Brittany Torres; 25 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren, siblings, Dominga Martinez; Ruben Rodriguez (Sandra); Samuel Rodriguez Jr, (Elly); Frances Solis (Ishmael); David Rodriguez (Annette), along with numerous nieces, and nephews. She loved and cared for her family and extended family her entire life.

We would like to express our gratitude and a very special thank you to our family, our extended family, and her siblings for all the love and support you all have shown us.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. for immediate family with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026; at Cook-Walden Funeral Home – 6100 N. Lamar., Austin, Texas. Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the same Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Road, Austin, Texas. A Gathering will be held immediately after the Interment at 369 Silktassel Way, Buda, Texas 78610.
