Guy was born to Otis Guy and Ada Stella Burrous in Hugo, OK on March 23, 1940. He attended the University of Oklahoma, where he met his wife of 59 years, Liz, on a blind date. He later graduated from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX.
Guy served in the Vietnam war and was so proud to be a veteran. Guy participated in the All-Vietnam Veteran Honor Flight Austin. He began his career in finance with Whites Auto Stores in Wichita Falls, and retired with Classic Automotive Group as CFO in Round Rock, TX. Guy was an avid Sooners fan, loved to grill and drink wine with his friends, and could be found frequently boating with his family on Lake Travis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Liz Burrous , his son Grant , and Grant’s partner, David Harris, of Austin, TX. Guy was 81 years old when he passed away peacefully at his Austin home.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29th at 1:00 PM at Cook Walden Chapel of the Hills on Anderson Mill Rd. with reception immediately after.
