

Harold A. Leverson, age 92, of Austin, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was the son of Arthur and Hilda Skare Leverson of Fargo, North Dakota where he was raised and lived most of his earlier years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frankie Leverson, his parents; his brother Theodore (Ted) and sister-n-law Margret; brother Vernon and Louise Hedges. Harold is survived by his daughter Connie Wing and her husband Kevin; sister-in-law Winifred Leverson of Bismarck, North Dakota, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Harold is an Army veteran and also worked for the Corp of Engineers and helped with Garrison Dam and Wyoming Missile Silos.
Harold Leverson was the first McDonald’s owner/operator in Austin, Texas located off IH-35 at Capital Plaza and has been owner/operator for McDonald’s over 53 years. He was directly responsible for 14 other owner/operators in the system. He started and supported two Ronald McDonald Houses, one in Austin and one in Temple, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 pm on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78752. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on September 29, 2015 in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home followed by a burial at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
