

Henrietta Simmons-Davis was born January 9, 1925. She was the last of twelve siblings to depart this earth. Henrietta was known as a social butterfly. At a young age, she accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized into the faith at Mount Olive Baptist Church. She graduated from Smithville High School.
Henrietta was self-employed as a hair stylist and added a beauty salon to her home. Sister Davis loved to cook and barbecue for her friends and family. She had a passion for serving people. Sister Davis truly had a heart of gold and was clearly placed on earth to serve others.
She served as Deaconess President and President of Mission One, and she chaired the Women’s Day Program for more than ten years. She was also a member of the choir, Sunday School, Baptist Training Union, Vacation Bible School, and served as Assistant Superintendent of the Junior Sunday School Department.
On the morning of Thursday, April 24, 2025, Sister Davis departed from earth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davis; her parents; and all eleven of her siblings.
Sister Davis leaves to cherish her legacy: caregivers- nieces Stephanie, Margaret, and Debbie. Her goddaughter, Melanie (Peter) and god granddaughter Courtney all of Dallas, Texas; her godson, Brandon of Austin, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and her special friend, Liza Fanuel.
