

Hank graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 1976. He worked for Beverly Enterprises, Mariner Health Care, Living Centers, and Remington Medical Resorts in the area of finance. Hank also served in leadership positions for the Texas Healthcare Association. He received numerous awards for his service in the nursing home industry.
Hank was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He especially enjoyed going to sporting events especially the Texas Longhorn’s football and Round Rock Express games. He also loved going to the beach with his grandson Ryan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Hannah Barber and father-in-law, John Barry. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Laurie Barber; his daughter, Courtney Dinnen; his grandson, Ryan Dinnen; his brother, Mike Barber and sister-in-law, Rhonda and their daughters Candice and Alex; sister, Donna Trolenberg and daughters, Natalie and Kristel; brother-in-law, John Barry; sisters-in-law, Linda Esposito and husband Frank and daughter Aja; Alice Landry and husband, John and children Reilly, Shane, and Kai; and mother-in-law Jean Barry.
A celebration gathering in Hank’ honor will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, Texas.
The family would like to thank Dr. Laura Beaty and their wonderful staff as well as the staff who provided kind care to Hank at the Lighthouse Hospice Altenheim.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
