It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hồng Nguyễn, 72, of Pflugerville, Texas, who left this world peacefully on September 2, 2025, surrounded by her devoted husband and children.
Born on May 26, 1953, in Phan Thiết, Việt Nam, Hồng was the cherished daughter of Mr. Nguyễn Dương and Mrs. Lý Thị Nam. She spent her early years in Phan Thiết, later becoming a teacher in Long Khánh and Sài Gòn before immigrating to the United States, where she and her family built a new and fulfilling life.
In 1978, Hồng married Thu, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. She was a devoted mother to Chi and Bảo, and a deeply treasured grandmother to Kaitlyn and Keira.
Hồng will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and quiet generosity. Her life was defined by her selfless devotion to others and her unwavering care for those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thu, her daughter, Chi, and her son, Bảo. She is preceded in passing by her parents, Nguyễn Dương and Lý Thị Nam, and her eldest brother Nguyễn Thanh Sương.
A celebration of Hồng’s life will be held on September 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, TX 78731. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
