Ingeborg “Inge” Irene Cohn Phillips passed away on May 13, 2016. Inge was born on August 26, 1929 in Berlin, Germany. She moved to the United States in 1951 and resided in Toledo, Ohio, where she met her husband James “Jim” Phillips. Together Inge and Jim moved to Florida where she pursued a career in photography and raised her family.
Inge and James later relocated to Houston, Texas to be close to family. After Jim’s passing, she moved to Germany to take care of her granddaughter Kelly. She returned to the United States and resided in Lockport, Illinois where she developed a fondness for horses. Inge moved to Round Rock, Texas in 2011.
Inge was preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband James, son-in-law, and granddaughter. She is survived by her brother Heinz and sister-in-law of Bamberg, Germany, son John, daughter-in-law Jan, daughter Robin, son David, grandchildren Sheila, Kelly, and Neal, two nieces Ingrid and Gisela and one nephew George.
