IRL LESLIE ALLISON, JR. Irl Leslie Allison, Jr. was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico November 18, 1924 to Irl and Jessie Allison. He passed away November 20, 2007. Irl was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patsy, a daughter, Margaret and husband, P.J. Newsom and a son, Richard Allison. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive him. He also is survived by a sister, Lucille Ockey of Pacific Palisades, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. All will miss him dearly. After serving in the army in the Philippines and New Guinea, he attended the University of Texas. Upon graduation, he joined the staff of the American College of Musicians and the National Guild of Piano Teachers where he became President of the organization and eventually as a consultant until his death. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Weed-Corley Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
