J B Hamilton

J B Hamilton passed away on December 5, 2020 in Austin, Texas at the age of 91. Born in Alto, Texas on September 24, 1929, he grew up mostly in Bay City, Texas, graduating from Bay City High School and attending UT-Austin. He was a proud Marine, serving in the Korean War for which he received 2 Purple Hearts. During his professional career, he worked at the State Board of Insurance, an executive for a private insurance company and owned his own building business, building over 200 homes in the Austin and San Marcos area.

His greatest pleasure in recent years was time spent at his Ranch outside Thorndale, sitting on the front porch, hunting with his boys and girls and just enjoying nature and being with his kids and grandkids.

J B loved his family, both immediate and extended very much. He is survived by his wife, Jan, children, Rick, Randy, Cheryl, Kevin, Roger, Cassie and their families, his brother, Jerry and sister, Wilma.

A special thank you to Brookdale Spicewood Springs for all the care and love given to J B and his family.

Private graveside services for family will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at Austin Memorial Park.
